Johanna Billing's work centers around inviting people to be part of a 'situation' that is outside of their usual daily lives. These situations are not always ones of action, but rather groups of individuals involved in the act of indecision, ambiguity, waiting, and indifference as they walk through a prospective apartment, practice a group breathing exercise or wait for a revolution. Billing's work has been written about extensively including The Moscow Biennale catalogue (2005), Frieze Magazine #81(2004), and Cream 3 (2003). |
