Zoë Walker & Neil Bromwich

Zoë Walker & Neil Bromwich came to prominence with their exhibition My Island Home at the V&A, London in 2000. Since then they have had solo exhibitions or performances at the South London Gallery, the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, the Economist Plaza, the Berwick Gymnasium, CCC Tours, the Camden Arts Centre, the ICA London, Les Atelier des Arques, France, Cornerhouse Gallery Manchester, Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne, Turner Contemporary, Margate, Locws International Swansea, the Baltic Gateshead, Pippy Houldsworth, London and 1,000,000 mph, London to name a few.

Their Celestial Radio mirror tiled boat, radio broadcast and Kent soundtrack were originally commissioned by the Essex County Council.  Turner Contemporary, Margage commissioned an additional broadcast for the Whitstable Biennial, and Margate and Folkestone Triennials in 2008. In 2002 Walker & Bromwich launched TV Swansong, a live web broadcast of eight specifically commissioned projects.

Panacea, the art of wellbeing, commissioned by the Wellcome Foundation, a collaboration with Michael Pinsky, began an international tour in Jul 2007 at John Hansard Gallery, Southampton.  It has also been presented at CCC Tours, Le Parvis, France and Cornerhouse Manchester, supported also by Arts Council and British Council.  Monograph on Zoë Walker & Neil Bromwich published January 2009, and launched together with Panacea publication at ICA London, following panel discussion with Nicolas Bourriaud, Sian Ede, Claire Doherty and the artists.
