Zhang Ping

Born in 1971

 

She came to Eastern-China Normal University in Shanghai to finish her M.A. in Painting in 2006.  Zhang Ping’s works are graceful as yet retrained.  Most of her inspirations are from her childhood memories. 

 

Her compositions changes a lot, from the most passionate to the most gentle & soft, directly linking to the mood of her canvases.  Zhang Ping seems to purposely put herself on the opposite side of the main trend.  The disillutional mood leaking out of her canvases are easily felt from her sharp sarcasm over reality & history as well as her over-dramatisation.
