Wu Xiaohai

Born in 1972

 

All these works bring me back to the fantasy and dream of the young kids, together with the characters in the works and the artist himself. The boy and the girl wearing red scarf raise our natural feeling of affection, emotion, friendship, following the light happiness and misery of loosing our paradise. I guess that boy is the little Xiaohai. And the kid’s love between both is beautiful, lovely as well as sad soul experience. The small pigs presented in his works might be symbol of his invisible dream. All these works reveal « stream of consciousness ». (from Jingbo, in Fangzhou garden, 2007)
