Valérie Blass obtained her MFA from Université du Québec à Montréal. She has had solo shows in Montréal at Galerie Circa, B­312, Dare­Dare, Galerie Foreman (Sherbrooke), in Québec City at L’Œil de poisson, in Toronto at the Museum of Contemporary Art as well as solo presentations at art fairs including the NADA fair, Miami, VOLTA, NY and NEXT, Chicago. Group shows include work at Québec Triennial at The Musée d’art contemporain in Montréal, Galerie de l’UQAM, Clark, the Blackwood Gallery, and most recently at the Power Plant, Toronto. Her work is found in the permanent Collection at The National Gallery of Canada, the Musée d’art contemporain in Montréal, the loan collection of The Musée National des beaux-arts du Québec, The Royal Bank of Canada, National Bank Financial Group, The ALDO Group as well as privately. Blass is currently Artist in Residence at the Québec Studio in Basel, Switzerland.
