Sakarin Krue-On

Born 1965 in Mae Hong Son, Thailand
 


Graduated BFA from Silapakorn University in Thailand, Sakarin Krue-on has, among Thai artists, most consistent exposure in Europe’s prominent art events in the past several years, including two participations in Venice Biennale, Thai Pavillion (2002 and 2009) and the Rice Terrace as well as Nang Fa mural in Documenta 12 (2007).  His past exhibitions include (solo) Cloud Nine , 100 Tonson Gallery, Bangkok (2004), Yellow Simple, Open Arts Space, Bangkok (2001) and group exhibitions: Traces of Siamese Smile, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre(BACC), Bangkok, Thailand (2008-2009), The World in Painting, Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne, Australia ( 2008), Move on Asia Animation & Single Channel Video Art Festival, Seoul, South Korea ( 2007), The Singapore season, Institute of Contemporary Arts  ( 2007), London, UK  etc.
