Paloma Polo’s work focuses particularly on visual culture. Exploring how we articulate our relationship to representations, and how these representations determine our everyday gestures towards the cultural construction of the world.

The artist work processes deal with reproduction and reconstruction, using systematic strategies of displacement when considering representations.

Fiction and reality turn irrelevant in such scene as the motivation is centered on the value of an image.

Paloma Polo is currently finishing her second artist in residence year at De Ateliers, Amsterdam. She has shown at SKOR, Amsterdam; Centro de Arte Joven, Madrid;
