To reach this art that is alive, to save the fragility of what is alive, Maria-Carmen Perlingeiro knew how to choose the ideal mineral: the alabaster. This stone has a light and striking a relative hardness, its transparency and its undulating layers let you see the depth - it all seems to suggest that living matter under the epidermis. To explore the irregularity of the veins of alabaster, the artist prints her view on a subject as unique as the shape of a fingernail or a tear.
