He began his artistic endeavours in the early 1980’s. His work is characterized by the use of diverse media, and openly moves between the production of objects, photographs, videos, drawings, words and sounds.


His work has been presented in individual and collective exhibitions in Brazil and other countries: the Mori Art Museum, Tokyo; Manifesta7 - The European Biennial of Contemporary Art, Bolzano, Italy; Fri-Art Centre d’Art Contemporain in Freiburg, Switzerland; NKB, Berlin, Germany; Ludwig Museum im Koblenz, Germany; Vantaa Art Museu, Helsinki, Finlandia; Temporary Contemporary Space, Cardiff, UK; Espace Topografie de l’Art, Paris , France; Sopro Gallery, Lisbon, Portugal; 4th Biennial of Havana, Cuba; 3rd Summer Biennial of Lulea, Sweden; 1st and 5th Biennials of Mercosul, Porto Alegre, and the 25th International Biennial of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
