Julia Rosa Clark
presented by WHATIFTHEWORLD GALLERY
Born 1975 in Cape Town, South Africa Lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa
Working in collage, installation and performance Clarks art works are overwhelming and intentionally experiential, her installations are made up of two- and three-dimensional elements that spill and spread throughout the gallery space. Made up of a universe of materials from traditional to profane the artworks reflect Clark’s continued process- driven experiments and her work with space, analogy, accumulation, repetition and co-operation. She often uses paper and found objects to create a curious interplay between various spaces.
Julia Clark has presented multiple solo exhibitions and her work has appeared on numerous group shows, including most recently the critically acclaimed DadaSouth? At the South African National Gallery (2009/10).
