Born 1974 in Peekskill, New York, USA

Jina Parks latest series of paintings capture the leisurely and mostly forgotten moments of everyday life. Using photographs as their source, she sometimes combines subjects from different photographs further adding to the compositional challenges of creating such scenes on one canvas.

Jina Park is a graduate of Seoul National University College of Fine Arts and received her Masters in Fine Art from the Chelsea College of Art & Design.  She has had three solo shows in Korea and has participated in group shows at the Kumho Museum of Art and the Seoul Metropolitan Museum of Art.  Jina recently participated in the last Gwangju Biennale curated by Okwui Enwezor and will have show at the Sungok Museum of Art in 2010.  Jina currently lives and works in Seoul, Korea.
