Jeronimo Elespe’s series of paintings consists of small portraits of his family and friends. He paints his portraits from memory, using a time¬consuming process in which he applies countless layers onto the image support, exploring in an almost old¬masterly manner the autobiographical as well as the subjectivity of memory.
