Through the process of abstraction, I negotiate feelings of ambivalence, anger and affinity, toward already existing images and objects that are eventually combined, altered and morphed to create new hybrid paintings and sculpture. Sources come from the histories of ethnography and anthropology, as well as the histories of painting in both Western and non-Western traditions (including graffiti).
