Lives and works in Switzerland
Irina Polin started her artistic career as a painter that is why her photography is always a performance, an installation, which she has been preparing carefully before taking a picture. She participated in more than 20 group exhibitions including Switzerland photography prize exhibition in 2004, 2007 and 2009, two exhibitions in Rudolph Budja gallery and Artseasons in Cape Town 2007, her photography was presented at Art Basel and Paris Photo art fairs in 2009. Irina Polin exhibition CV counts more than 20 personal shows. In 2006 she received a photography prize of Bern and in 2007 she was awarded with the Magazine-Photography prize and project grant of Bern, Switzerland. At VOLTA6 Pobeda gallery will be representing her series “Show cases”.
