 Born 1966 in Kaufbeuren, Germany
Cornelia Renz studied at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst, Leipzig, was master student in the Class of Prof. Sighard Gille and lives and works in Berlin. Her work has been shown in such venues as the Berlinische Galerie, Berlin / Germany and He Xianing Galerie, Shenzhen / China. She has some works in the collection at the Berlinische Galerie / Germany, Weizmann Collection / USA and Credit Beaux-Arts, Tokyo / JP.
Anyone who appreciates the allegorical layers of a fairy tales will be fascinated by the image worlds captured with acrylic paint on glass by the artist Cornelia Renz. One initially has the impression of facing the creation of a colourful world of fairy tales or comics, but when taking a closer look, the details and figures give rise to ambiguous stories in which nothing is really the way it appears.
