Angelina Gualdoni

Born 1975 in San Francisco, CA

Angelina Gualdoni’s work has been focused on modern ruins such as abandoned strip malls, decaying corporate high-rises, neglected parking garages, and housing projects, overgrown with weeds and rubble. Her latest paintings refocus her gaze on these actual pilings, remnants and detritus allowing room for exploration with paint, surface and abstraction.

Angelina Gualdoni (b. 1975, San Francisco, CA) lives and works in NY. Solo exhibitions include shows at the St. Louis Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and Dogenhaus Galerie, Leipzig Germany. Selected group exhibitions include shows at the Neuberger Museum of Art (Purchase, NY), the Aldrich Museum of Art (Ridgefield, CT), the Ulrich Museum of Art, Wichita, and the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art (Overland Park, KS).
