Melora Kuhn

Born 1971 in Boston, USA

Kuhn explores notions of identity in her evocative paintings, primarily through the domestic sphere. Recently, she has looked to the tragic family story of the last tsars of Russia, the Romanovs, as allegory for notions of self versus group identity. This body of work debuted in a solo exhibition at Gallery Hyundai in Seoul. She continues to work on related sculpture and installation, such as her Monument which was displayed in Manhattan’s Ft. Tryon Park from September 2007-March 2008.
