Moritz is a master of ‘mechatronics’, the synergistic combination of mechanical, electronic and software engineering. Having gained a Masters Degree from King’s College (London), he worked for Philips UK in their research laboratories developing his sophisticated technologies. His unique and innovative ideas for home entertainment and wearable electronics were only the start of what has led him to become one of the most sought after technical consultants to the design industry worldwide. His first solo exhibition ‘The Electric Kid’ was created for Rabih Hage in 2006 and was the result of joining insatiable imaginations. His ‘Pong Table’ has toured internationally, most recently appearing at MoMA (New York) in Design and the Electric Mind. Each of his cleverly unique tables, including the ‘Roulette Table’, have touch sensitive surfaces enabling user-interaction, illustrating the inventiveness of the designer.
