Karen graduated from the Royal College of Art (London) in 2001 and her first solo exhibition was at the Rabih Hage gallery in 2006. Having studied Graphics, Design and Fine Art, her work is an amalgamation of these disciplines. She has been described as a design agitator and has exhibited in London, Paris and Milan. Her collections include ‘Un Made 07’ a series of ceramic vases and plates commenting on mass production and global branding; ‘Custom Made’ one-off furniture compositions created from discarded objects; ‘Tables’, a series of unwanted pieces transformed into DesignArt objects, and her most recent collection ‘Wood Work’, lights formed from an explosion of off-cut wood, plastic and cardboard saved from her workshop floor.
