Cristián Silva’s works draw witty social issues in a quiet manner. Using a broad range of languages (painting, wall drawing, pottery, installation, sculpture) the artist makes appropriations of daily life objects and changes their scale either physically or metaphorically.
He has showed, among others, at Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art, Austin, TX; The Project, New York; Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, Mexico City. He’s recently showed at Puerto Vallarta Arte Contemporáneo 08.
