Eddie Martinez’s drawings and paintings are assemblages of reoccurring characters and motifs thrown together in fantastic, chaotic scenes. Although untrained, his style reflects influences from Picasso, to folk art, to graffiti. His process is instinctual and is characterized by a vibrant energy that can hardly be contained. Since his solo project at VOLTA 02, Eddie’s work has been shown widely and will be in upcoming shows at Blum and Poe, L.A. and Peres Projects, Berlin.
