Taro Nasu Gallery Presents: Futo Akiyoshi, Nobuya Hoki, Ryuta Ohtake, Kazuna Taguchi, Kaoru Usukubo TARO NASU opened in 1998. The gallery was originally based in the Shokuryo Building with Tomio Koyama Gallery and Rice Gallery (organized by Gallery Koyanagi and Shugoarts), creating together a new tide in the Japanese contemporary art scene. Due to the demolition of the Shokuryo Building, TARO NASU moved to a new space in Roppongi – an area rapidly evolving as the new center of contemporary art in Tokyo – in 2003. In 2006, TARO NASU opened a second gallery in Osaka. The interior of the space was designed by Jun Aoki, one of Japanese most famous architects.
