Since opening in April 2000, doART Gallery has consistently focused on discovering emerging local artists or potential young artists with a spirit to experiment but not yet widely known, as well as supporting such artists to enhance their functional value.
Every month, the gallery provides emerging artists the opportunity to exhibit their works. Emerging artists are afforded the exhibition space to actively showcase their operating lines which can lead them to seek their own artistic directions adding durability to their latent talent.
doART Gallery plans exhibitions of young emerging artists at its holding company, Gallery HYUNDAI, to give them more opportunities to show their works and add value to their works in stages. Since 2006, doART Gallery has planned annual exhibition of Gallery HYUNDAI 'Trend-spotting' which offered a turning point for many young emerging artists to be appreciated and thus be noticed for their aesthetic as well as commercial potential.
doART gallery also takes the role of introducing international artists to Korea. Starting with the Photo Exhibition of Gotz Diergarten (Germany) in 2004, the gallery will show the new works of Adam Scott(U.S) and Melora Kuhn(U.S) in this year.
