Andreiana Mihail

Presents: Tom Chamberlain, Adrian Ghenie, Ciprian Muresan, Cristi Pogacean, Serban Savu

Opened in 2006, the gallery is a project of Andreiana Mihail and it is focused on an emerging international program with special attention being given to new developments in Central and East European artist communities.

Some of the artists represented by the gallery went to build exciting careers, their work being represented in prestigious events in Romania and throughout Europe: Ciprian Muresan in the Prague Biennial in 2005 and 2007, and with Cristi Pogacean in Cabaret Voltaire, in Zurich. Cristian Pogacean is one of the artists who represent Romania at Venice Biennale 2007. Adrian Ghenie and Serban Savu will both take part in the upcoming Prague Biennial in the "Expanded Painting 2". So far, the gallery program included the inaugural group show “Small Wonder” featuring artists Tom Chamberlain, Hideko Inoue, Adrian Ghenie and Ciprian Muresan. The second show “Noutati” (“News”) presented the artists Ciprian Muresan and Cristi Pogacean. The most recent exhibition “Growing Wild” curated by Jane Neal, invited artists Janieta Eyre, Tessa Farmer, Tami Ichino and Gabriela Vanga. Artists to show at the gallery in the near future are: Serban Savu, Tom Chamberlain, Mihai Iepure-Gorski, Alexandra Croitoru, among others. Guest curated solo and group shows will also be part of the gallery's next year season.
