Mary Goldman Gallery represents artists working in all media, from established artists such as Dike Blair, to emerging talent such as Sanford Biggers and Rob Fischer. The gallery works primarily with artists based in Southern California, New York, and Europe and strives to sustain Southern California's contribution within this cultural exchange as well as strengthen Los Angeles' presence as an important center for contemporary art. The majority of artists have their first Los Angeles solo exhibition at the gallery. Mary Goldman Gallery is located in the Chinatown district of Los Angeles. Chinatown is a historic neighborhood adjacent to downtown and close to the Museum of Contemporary Art. Since 1998, the Chinatown area has quickly established itself as a thriving neighborhood for creative activity with the presence of new and succesful contemporary art galleries.
