Galerie Guy Bärtschi

Presents: Oliver Blanckart, Jennifer + Kevin McCoy, Hervé Graumann, Samuel Rousseau, Alberto Sorbelli

The Guy Bärtschi Gallery was founded in 1990. In 1995, the Gallery moved into the old city of Geneva, where it continued to have four to five exhibitions a year. Three years ago, it invested a new space in the center of Geneva’s art district and has since then continued to focus on contemporary art from the 80’s until today. The new gallery comprises of two exhibition spaces (respectively 270 m2 and 100 m2) in order to put on different projects at the same time, in which the works are often especially produced by the gallery in collaboration with the artists. A catalogue is usually published for every individual exhibition. Today, the gallery represents artists such as Marina Abramovi, Alighiero Boetti, Wim Delvoye, Jan Fabre, Nan Goldin, Cornelia Parker, Giuseppe Penone and Not Vital amongst many others. Its program strives to include well established artists as well as young artists working with new media technology.
